OUR PRACTICE AREAS
Every attorney fears this part. That is why every attorney ad has a list. The list is long. It is palpably dry. It says "Criminal Law." It says "Civil Matters." It says "Business Law," and "Bankruptcy," "IRS and Pennsylvania Tax Issues," "Second Amendment, Gun Trusts and Gun Rights," - it references "Real Estate," "Wills, Trusts, Probate," and even "Sophisticated Litigation," "Workmen's Compensation," "Wrongful Death."
Even this list is getting long. And if the attorney were to forget things like "Asset Protection," "Personal Injury," or "Unemployment Compensation," he lays awake at night believing he might be losing clients because of an incomplete list.
The problem is, while we represent clients in every "area" we have mentioned (and more), what we really practice are disciplines. Our disciplines are "Better Client Service," "Experienced Representation," and "Reasonable Fees." Consequentially, we have only listed items in our drop down menu for which we have something particular to say.

When it comes to attorneys, who you hire is almost as important as who you hire.
Well, that was redundant.
Law school professors love to talk about widgets. A widget is like a pencil, staple or wooden nickle. You know what you are getting when you buy one. You expect every one to be the same. You know what it will do and you are surprised if it doesn't.
An attorney is just the opposite. If you buy the best manicured attorney, the one with the fanciest car or the one whose family has been around the longest - you better get your money's worth up front. You need an attorney who works hard, takes the time to understand your case and who embraces the values embodied by world class client service.
Attorney Zeigler has been practicing law since 1999 and has litigated successfully in every court in the State of Pennsylvania. He has also been consulted by national law firms with relation to important Civil Liberty cases. His transactional experience involves $5-$10m conduit loan closings on hotels and other commercial properties and he has represented numerous clients in civil disputes, religious rights and constitutional litigation.
In short, who you hire may be the decisive factor in whether or not you succeed. And who you hire may be too.

TAKING THE MYSTERY OUT OF ATTORNEYS' FEES
There are many rarities in the world. Coming across an attorney's preprinted rate sheet is one of them. Finding that rate sheet published on the internet is almost unheard of. And yet, here we are - publishing our fees.
"Why," you inquire? Because we know that you come to a web page to make educated and informed decisions about the service or product you are researching. One of our core values is to openly communicate with our clients concerning fees. There are few more important points to evaluate in making a decision then the cost of the service or product. And your attorney should already know how to calculate fees. If it has to be made up on the spot? You are being ripped off.
RETAINER
In every case for which we bill a flat fee or an hourly fee, we bill a retainer. The retainer is the minimum fee for which we will handle your case. In most cases, the retainer or the flat fee is determined based upon an assessment of the individual details of your case or matter.
HOURLY RATES: $85.00-$500.00*
(Our standard hourly rate is $200.00 per hour. Our lowest rate is $85.00 per hour and our highest is $500.00 per hour. These rates fluctuate based upon the individuals working on your case, your assigned case manager, the type and complexity of the matter and other considerations noted below.)
Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Workmen's Compensation and a number of other cases are typically accepted on a straight contingency basis, though in some instances we may modify that arrangement.
Your fee arrangement will always be set forth in a written Representation and Fee Agreement. We do not take any steps to represent you without providing you with a written Representation and Fee Agreement which we have each signed. If you do not have a written Representation and Fee Agreement with relation to your particular matter, we do not represent you in that matter.
*Fees are set based upon a consideration of (1) whether the fee is fixed or contingent, (2) the time and labor required, the novelty and difficulty of the questions involved, and the skill requisite to perform the legal service properly, (3) the likelihood, if apparent to you, that the acceptance of the particular employment will preclude other employment by us, (4) the fee customarily charged in your locality (typically Central Pennsylvania) for similar legal services, (5) the amount involved and the results obtained, (6) the time limitations imposed by you or by the circumstances, (7) the nature and length of the professional relationship with you, (8) our experience, reputation and ability, and (9) the distance we will have to travel to perform the legal services and the time and resources invested in that travel. The quoted retainer indicates our lowest retainer for the type of service indicated. An evaluation of the particularities of your matter or a consideration of the case may cause us to quote you a higher retainer.
